The Hong Kong Burial Project
Industrial Design
Hong Kong, People's Republic of China
This was a combative design solution in response to Hong Kong’s spacial issue, regarding current funerary practices and seaburial.

The problem arises due to the lack of space, forcing the majority of families to adopt the unfavored notion of cremation via ︎ sea burial, which is percieved as insensitive in nature due to the overall experience and the lack of a “sacred space” to pay homage to deceased loved ones.

This approach involved the redesign of an entire experience, by creating a alternative option for citizens that is — affordable, culturally appropriate and sustainable.
